Going to conferences

Going to conferences#

As a PhD student or a postdoc in the group you should use the opportunity to go to research schools and conferences. In exceptional cases master or bachelor students may also have a chance to attend conferences with costs covered by the group.

If you find a conference that looks interesting for you, do the following:

  • Add the conference/school/workshop to the tracking board of the ~conference channel.

  • Discuss with Anton and Michael before applying. They will typically say “yes” if a conference is relevant to your research and has a sufficient quality.

  • If you have anything at all to present, discuss with your coauthors, Anton, and Michael, and apply for a presentation or a poster.

  • Apply for the business trip using the university forms and book your trip.

  • During the conference, share everything you find interesting in the ~conference. Do so preferably right away so that you don’t forget, or at least soon after the conference ends.
